Steam CD Key

[:1]EDIT:

For now, it's possible to get your CD key through Steam support. Go to this site:

https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php

Fill out the form with your information (you may need to create an account with Steam Support if you haven't before). In my case, Steam Support replied within 15-20 minutes with my CD key.

Good luck!

EDIT #2:

CD keys can also be found in the registry. Here's the step by step process for those who are unfamiliar with regedit:

1) Open the Start Menu and click Run (or if you are in Vista, just open the Start Menu)

2) Type 'regedit' without the quotes, press enter

3) Navigate to the appropriate registry directory

FOR 32 BIT WINDOWS:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SEGA\Gas Powered Games\Space Siege

FOR 64 BIT WINDOWS:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SEGA\Gas Powered Games\Space Siege

4) Inside that directory, you will see a value labeled "key." This is your CD key. Copy it to the clipboard and paste it into the necessary GPGnet dialog box.

Many thanks to Eon for the tip!|||When you purchase a game through steam the CD-Key is bound to your account.|||hi,

is not so ... i have this game loaded over steam too and it is not key in the field, is not bound on my account :-( ... how cam i see my cd key?

thanks|||The problem is that their CD-Key is also permanently bound to GPGNet. The thing is that when you run GPGNet for the first time without an account, it should automatically (did for SupCom and FA) fill in the CD-Key field for you.

Otherwise, you might contact VALVe customer support.|||However, unfortunately, no CD key is in it. What can I do now?|||I'm having the same problem with no CDKEY from Steam. It would be nice to play MP.|||Thank you for coming back and letting us know about your resolution, greatcaffeine, I will sticky this thread for the benefit of others trying to get access to GPGnet with a Steam download.

greatcaffeine|||Great! Just waiting to hear back from SteamSupport.

Thanks!|||Same here been waiting 4 hours now.|||Steam support usually takes 3-5 working days to respond to support tickets although it will vary depending on how many tickets are being submitted (and some tickets get prioritised over others like hijacking ones).

As long as you got a 12-digit conformation code after submitting your ticket you will just have to wait till they get to your ticket. If you did NOT get a 12-digit code at the end of the process then you did NOT successfully complete the process and VALVe did NOT get your support ticket.|||The cd key can be found in the registry under localmachine\software\sega\gaspoweredgames\spacesiege or software\wow6432node\sega if you use winxp64 like me. I don't know if it works though because i can't get the game to work.|||GREAT ... PERFECT !!! Thanks for you help :-)|||my problem solved. Thanks for all the help!|||steam are not yet selling this game. as i click on space seige and there is no purchase option!|||mojom@n2
